The requirement for high cutting capacities and high working precision demands an additional support by a revolving live centre for many workpieces due to their shape and length. Thanks to their precision bearings, live centres offer optimal force absorption and a maximum concentricity deviation of up to 0.003 mm. The centre points are maintenance free with the lifetime lubrication.

Live centres are manufactured to mount in the morse taper of tail stock. The centres are housed in a housing manufactured from alloy steel and mounted on the roller bearings. Bearings are designed for long life and to provide required accuracy. Bearings are lubricated with grease for lifetime. Centres are hardened to 60 HRC for wear. Detailed construction can be understood from the attached drawing, which is self-explanatory.
